¡Hola!
As the next step in the process of making localized versions of Ad-Aware 2007, software update 7.0.2.7 introduces Spanish. The new installation package should be available on the download servers shortly, and the Spanish language file will be available through the software update functionality in Ad-Aware.

With cyber threats morphing and growing more sophisticated, it is imperative to have a solid security solution. Hackers, identity thieves, Trojans, and keyloggers are just a few of the intruders waiting to get their hands on your confidential information, through unpatched security holes.
For our Ad-Aware users who have experienced the current conflict with Windows Live OneCare, asking you to uninstall Ad-Aware, we've received confirmation from them that they will fix the conflict on their side in two stages (unfortunately because of their size they are slow to getting patches out to market).
- The false positive tagging of Ad-Aware as an 'at risk' application will be fixed with an update they intend to send out in April.
Let's face it: filing taxes is not on the top of many peoples list of favorites. To make matters a bit more unfavorable, tax season comes with its own set of security issues. And for those in the U.S., tax time is here.
If you're one of the many who turn to the Internet to e-file tax returns, remember that what you submit contains personally identifiable information; in the hands of the wrong person, it's more than enough needed to steal your identity.
The software updates made available today serve to fix issues with slow updates (which caused 'SSL Download failed' errors), program crashes at Windows startup scans and a few smaller bugs. The software update also includes a new version of the Update Manager.
The software version number remains at 7.0.2.6 as this update does not contain any major feature additions.

Home computer users are not the only ones forced to wage the war against cyber threats. Malware attacks constitute a critical and constant security risk to corporate networks. The staggering statistics speak for themselves: as many as 40 percent of organizations will be targeted by financially-motivated cyber crime by 2008, research from Gartner shows.
Time for a little shameless self-promotion. In a security software review by Swedish TechWorld.se, Ad-Aware 2007 has been ranked number one on its list of recommended anti-spyware programs, beating out Windows Defender and Spybot Search and Destroy. In fact, Ad-Aware 2007 earned 94 points out of a 100 point grade scale.
Since the article is in Swedish, we'll give you a quick recap of what TechWorld highlighted in its review:
- Top-notch Quarantine and Ignore List features
The software update to 7.0.2.6 contains some exciting new additions to Ad-Aware 2007.
First of all there have been changes made to various parts of the scanning engine, which improves the detection and removal of malware affecting LSP and NSP, a network scanning problem has been fixed, and the malware removal at Windows startup now removes folders.

Last week saw the release of software update 7.0.2.5 for Ad-Aware 2007. This update contains some tweaks intended to improve the internal communication between the service and the user interface in the program, which has caused problems on some systems.
Also included in the update is a fix for a bug that affected some users when they tried to remove large quantities of infections.
Todays security tip: be sure to get the most out of your Ad-Aware software by using Ad-Aware 2007s "Web Update" feature.
The new Web Update feature allows you to receive incremental Definitions File updates, giving you a quick, easy way to stay protected from the latest spyware threats.
Web Update also allows us to automatically upload any new functions and features that we use to improve the 2007 version. That means, each time you update, you are downloading more power and better function for your Ad-Aware version.
