Another week -and another award for Ad-Aware!
We've just received word from the team at Forte downloads.com that, following testing and a review of users ratings, Ad-Aware 2007 Free has received their highest award - 5 out of 5 stars!
Ad-Aware 2008 comes loaded with four new skins, providing you with more choices when it comes to giving your favorite anti-spyware a look and feel that suits your taste. Below you will find brief presentations of the new skins and how they came to be.
The changes to the detection and removal engine will be noticeable to long-time Ad-Aware users, with Lavasoft touting faster scan times and better rootkit detection.

Ad-Aware 2008 looks a lot like the 2007 version of the program, but with a freshened-up interface and somewhat more intuitive controls in a few places. Most of the changes, however, are found under the hood, and they are significant.

Ad-Aware continues to travel the world and has now picked up enough of Dutch and Italian to be able to communicate with its users in these languages! They are both included in the latest software update.
In other news, Ad-Aware's traveling partner - the Lavasoft Website - now also speaks Nederlands and Italiano so be sure to check them out through the language selector at the top of the page.
CHIP Online, one of Europes leading computer sites, collects what they see as "the best tools and updates" among downloads on their site - known as their "Download of the Day" tool gallery. We've just heard from CHIP Online that our Ad-Aware 2007 Free software was chosen as a Download of the Day during the month of April.
