Microsoft Internet Explorer and Adobe Still Open to Malware Attacks

by Michael on January 19th, 2010 in Security Alerts.

In light of recent rise in use of Adobe Reader exploits, we ask each of you to update to the latest version of the software. This popular software is on so many of your machines and it is imperative that you get the patches for recent Internet security vulnerabilities.

Window's Internet Explorer is also a known target. A new vulnerability has been discovered which makes it a prime malware target to attack the internet population.

As an alternative for Internet Explorer while they work to create a patch for these security vulnerabilities, the IT group at Lavasoft suggests Google Chrome for regular browsing. It's small and it's fast and updates are frequent. Either install it when you download Ad-Aware from CNET's Download.com, or get it direct from Google.

These updates and installs are quick and easy, and could save you thousands to prevent you from becoming a victim of the latest vulnerabilities.

And make sure that you've got Ad-Aware Internet Security active and loaded!
