How to Remove PC Power Speed
PC Power Speed is a program developed by Crawler LLC that supposed to improve the performance of your computer. Upon installation and setup, it creates the registry entry which allows this program run every time at startup of Windows. PC Power Speed may also install a lot of additional programs from Crawler LLC.
Once it gets into the system, PC Power Speed runs an automatic scan and reports bunch of errors and other problems detected. It states that to increase your computer speed you should fix errors and crashes, repair your registry, etc. When you try to fix these errors, PC Power Speed informs that you need to buy its full version. However, it seems that this program seeks the only thing - make people pay for its license.
The Windows registry is a database which store information, including user preferences, settings and license information, about hardware and software installed on a user's computer. It contains huge amount of entries. Some of them may be outdated — maybe you’ve uninstalled a program and it left a key or two behind, or maybe a there’s a file extension with no associated application.
PC Power Speed finds such outdated entries and offers to remove them. Unfortunately, there is always a chance that this program may also remove some useful registry entries. In a best case scenario, PC Performer will remove a few hundred unnecessary entries and reduce the size of your registry by a few kilobytes only. That doesn't have big influence to performance of your computer. You should realize that registry is a very important part of your PC. There is no way to restore data from here once you delete something. And if you delete an incorrect component by mistake, it may damage your OS and make it inoperative. So if you are not confident enough with the registry we do not recommend to clean it manually or using such kind of software.
In most cases PC Power Speed gets inside the system in a bundle with other programs. That is why it was categorized as Potentially Unwanted Program. The majority of PUPs can be installed in a bundle with some freeware or shareware you want but you won't notice that you're getting Potentially Unwanted Program in addition with it too. Typically, users are not aware they installed these browser extensions while downloading free software. Using the potentially unwanted program on your Internet browsers may lead to privacy issues and identity theft. That is why it is always recommended to choose Custom Installation. Be attentive and never install software that you don’t know or trust.
If it wasn't your intention to download PC Power Speed we recommend removing it from the computer.
