Ad-Aware SE Updates Discontinued
An important notice for any users of our Ad-Aware SE software –
As of March 31, 2009, technical support and Definitions File updates will be discontinued for Ad-Aware SE Plus, Ad-Aware SE Professional and Ad-Aware SE Enterprise.
If you use Ad-Aware SE, please upgrade to the latest version of Ad-Aware – Ad-Aware Anniversary Edition – in order to stay protected from online threats; Definitions File threat updates for Ad-Aware SE will not be issued after the end of the month.
Keep in mind, if you have a valid Ad-Aware SE Plus, Professional or Enterprise license, you are eligible to upgrade to Ad-Aware Anniversary Edition free of charge through the Lavasoft Support Center. If you need a new license, please visit our Ad-Aware product pages.

Am I the only disgusted SE
Am I the only disgusted SE user? I am disgusted they stopped supporting this and disgusting I was blind-sided by it. Suddenly, no updates. I came to the Lavasoft web site, did various searches, and finally found out that the product I paid for is now essentially worthless.
When I finish here I will uninstall Lavasoft and find a more trustworthy company to deal with. Pfui!

i am tired of paying 30-40 dollars a year just for definition updates after i bought the pro version. I recently bought Superantispyware with lifetime updates for $20. From now on I will use just the free version of adaware. No more money.

It would be great to have an automated prompt to upgrade when one runs the update in their older versions of lavasoft, but not a prompt as annoying as the one currently asking me to upgrade to a free version when I am already running a paid up AdWare Pro AE. It prompts every time I try to update and leads to a site that tries to download the free version. This happens to all my 3 machines I am running Adware Pro AE. Really annoying. My trust build in the last 3 yrs is being challenged! Any explanations!

customer185548 you are not alone. I do not believe the Lavasoft stoped to powered updates for Ad-aware SE. This were the best free anti-spyware in '06. Ad-aware pro is slow,
heavy, and the updates often fail in half. This company are losing their clients, ad-aware losed the capacibility to make a fast and good anti-spyware how were years before. The best year of lavasoft were 2006, and i were happy and with my computer protect... Nor does it give me an indefinite license, I would never use the ad-aware pro. Actually i'm using spybot, it's good, i liked of adware-SE but by the way is finished,I do not like lavasoft anymore, and I never recommend it to anyone. But if someone asks about you, i will speak evil.
