Lavasoft’s Ad-Aware Pro Security 11.1 has just been certified by AV-Comparatives, an independent antivirus testing lab, in the first public test using the Real-Time Threat List. The list is a repository of recent malware samples collected from sources around the world and managed by the Anti-Malware Testing Standards Organization.

The test involved the execution of 253 relevant malware samples. Each sample was executed simultaneously under Windows 7 (SP1 64bit version) with Lavasoft’s Ad-Aware Pro Security 11.10 installed which detected and blocked 99% of the threats. Ad-Aware Pro was tested using its default settings and received the AV-Comparatives and AMTSO Real-Time Threat List certification as a result of its high score. 

Lavasoft’s Ad-Aware Pro Security 11.10 also achieved the highest possible rating in the latest AV-Comparatives test earning an Advanced+ three star rating. The independent third-party test confirmed Ad-Aware Pro’s total detection rate as 99.7%. This means the program was able to effectively identify and protect against a set of 163,763 recent malware samples with only a 0.3% margin of error. In this test, Ad-Aware Pro was installed using Microsoft Windows 10.
