Facebook has launched a new email address, phish@fb.com. This email is dedicated for its users to report any activities that are linked to phisihing. This includes any receiving phishing emails that seek to trick members into revealing their personal account information.
This is another step for the social network giant is taking to stop phishing lurking in their system. The email address accepts reports of any such phishing attempts, saying they will “investigate and request for browser blacklisting and site takedowns where appropriate.”
Microsoft have published a Security Bulletin Summary for August 2012. A number of updates have been released including five "critical" and four "important" severity updates affecting Windows, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Developer Tools, Microsoft Server Software, SQL Server and Microsoft Exchange.
The patches address remote code execution and elevation of privilege. Importantly, an update has been released to patch four vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer 6, 7, 8 and 9 (MS12-052).
