New Rogue: NavaShield
NavaShield is a new rogue anti-virus application.
NavaShield is comes with a 7 day trial license. Once installed the first scan will find several infections even on a clean system, however NavaShield will clean these out for you for free. So far not so bad, but what happens when your trial expires? First the user will be prompted to upgrade to the paid version. If this offer is declined the system will soon be under attack.
As if this wasn’t enough random windows and adult oriented web sites will start to open, everything in an attempt to force the user to license the product.
Ad-Aware will detect NavaShield as Win32.FraudTool.NavaShield.
