DataProtection is a new rogue anti-virus application. It is a clone of the PaladinAntivirus family.

DataProtection installs along with fake alerts. It will also report several false positives. The user needs to license the software to be able to remove these infections.

Ad-Aware will detect DataProtection as Win32.FraudTool.DataProtection and Win32.FraudTool.PaladinAntivirus.
