APCprotect is a new rogue anti-spyware application and it is the latest clone of the Winiguard family.

Just like previous versions, it will drop many bogus files that it will detect as infections. The user is then asked to license the software to be able to remove these infections.

Ad-Aware will detect APCprotect as Win32.FraudTool.APCprotect and Win32.FraudTool.WiniGuard.
