AdvancedDefender is a new rogue antispyware application. It is a clone of PersonalGuard2009.

Once installed, AdvancedDefender will close all other running applications and hide the desktop. During its scan it will then detect several false infections, some of which it put there itself. AdvancedDefender then requires the user to license the software to be able to remove these false infections.

Ad-Aware will detect AdvancedDefender as Win32.FraudTool.AdvancedDefender and Win32.FraudTool.PersonalGuard2009.
