Lavasoft Announces XLsoft China as Distribution Partner for Chinese Market
Well-known anti-spyware pioneer Lavasoft today announced a distribution partnership with XLsoft China to promote its range of online security products in China, alongside a week of prominent Sweden-China business relations.
While established as a globally renowned brand, with over 400 million downloads worldwide of its flagship Ad-Aware software, in order to address the increasing demand by Chinese consumers for protection against escalating online security threats, Lavasoft prioritized local representation of its Internet security solutions in the Asian market. Shanghai-based XLsoft China, a leading software distributor, will represent Lavasoft throughout mainland China, promoting Lavasoft’s Ad-Aware Internet Security product range and its additional world-class security and computer optimization tools.
Highlighting the importance of strategic Asian relationships, this week Sweden hosts Chinese trade and commerce ambassadors as well as public officials – including China’s Vice President, Xi Jinping – with a reception by Sweden’s Prime Minister, Fredrik Reinfeldt and Minister for Trade & Industry, Maud Olofson. It is expected that eight major business partnership agreements will be signed, including the sale of Volvo Cars to Geely Automobile of China. Already underway is a $1 billion framework agreement between Ericsson, China Mobile and China Unicom.
“The trade relations and business partnerships taking place in Sweden underscore the significance of expanding a global presence in Asia. I am proud to announce Lavasoft’s own important partnership with XLsoft to extend our product range to the Chinese market,” says Lavasoft CEO Jason King, who personally led projects to establish local representation of Lavasoft, and the Ad-Aware brand, in China.
“This has been a rich and interesting experience in which I have gained a wealth of knowledge about the market and business culture. Along the way, Lavasoft has attained a number of corporate clients and we are currently exploring multiple partnership opportunities with technical companies in the region. I am excited about our future here in China,” King says.
Adding to its global reach, Ad-Aware is currently available in 11 languages – including two Chinese versions – provided through Lavasoft’s longstanding partnership with leading localization expert, CSOFT International (www.csoftintl.com).
“We are very proud to cooperate with Lavasoft to distribute its widely respected anti-malware and security products. As everyone knows, Internet users in China are being faced with an increasing amount of viruses and spyware. As a well-known anti-spyware pioneer, I am certain Lavasoft’s Ad-Aware product line will be successful in providing this important online protection to China,” says Leon Li, VP Business Development manager at XLsoft China.
